Tappa consigliata in un viaggio turistico ad Alghero è sicuramente la visita alle meravigliose Grotte di Nettuno. With our Grotte lines you can reach the Caves of Neptune travelling by boat for only 35 minutes!
The Motorships Freccia & Attilio Regolo offer daily connections and depart from the port of Alghero, at Garibaldi dock.
By boat, you can admire the beauty of this unspoilt territory and quickly visit all the coast, before arriving at destination.
Inside the cave, carved out for over millions of years by the water, there is the beautiful La Marmora lake about 120 meters long which is a tribute to Alberto La Marmora, Italian geographer after whom it takes its name, who first of all, explored these shores.
All around the lake, you can found numerous columns of stalactites and stalagmites that can reach a height varying from 10 to 15 meters. On the right, you can see, finally, a small beach, once used by the monk seals from the Central Mediterranean, species now extinct.
Le Motonavi Freccia & Attilio Regolo sono operative per ben 7 mesi dell’anno e coprono un periodo che va dal 1° Aprile al 31 Ottobre.
