Two daily departures from the port of Alghero:

Neptune's Caves are inside the promontory of Capo Caccia, reachable by our fast, safe and comfortable motorships from the port of Alghero.
The cave attracts 150,000 visitors each year because of its extraordinary beauty, partly due to the exceptional clarity of the water inside. It spreads over 2500 metres, with numerous rooms, wide galleries, limpid pools, deep wells and narrow tunnels.
Tour this marine cave that is carved in a spectacular sheer cliff, with long winding passages that delve far into the rock passing many fantastical stalagmites and stalactites.
This is probably the most beautiful and best known cave in Sardinia and can be reached by boat or Grotta di Nettuno down a steep staircase of 656 steps in the side of the cliff, called "escala del cabirol".

The cave opening is about 1m. above sea level and is almost flat and covered in vegetation. This natural entrance, 8m. high and about 20m long, leads to a vast internal salt lake, which lies on the same level as the sea. The lake is about 120m. long and is characterised by its shallow bottom and rocks which emerge from the clear water.
